Brattleboro, Vermont indie folk singer & songwriter Ruth Garbus has shared “The Lost Soul”, the second and final advance single from her forthcoming album Profound (out June 12 on Orindal Records). The single is accompanied by a live performance music video filmed and engineered at Brattleboro Community Television by Johnny Gifford. In the video, Ruth is accompanied by her Ruth Garbus Trio bandmates elie mcafee-hahn (keys, voice) & Nick Bisceglia (guitar, voice). The video was edited by Ruth, and the audio was mixed by Nick and elie.

“The Lost Soul” came to me in a dream: I woke up with trails of a Moon River-type scene in my consciousness; a song, on nylon string guitar, melancholy and pretty. I went out on the porch with a guitar and did my best to capture it before it disappeared.
